An act of creating field recordings is usually intimate experience of a single person, who discovers a fascinating sound, sinks in it and records it while being mute and moveless. This album stands out because it is a documentary of our work and everyday life, which were reinforced during first, spring lockdown
and summer trips outside of Poznań city. Together we listen, we share inspirations and record our activities.
Recordings from A side were made from March to June 2020 in the house on Łąkowa Street (Old Town, Poznań) and in the house on Dmowskiego Street (Łazarz District, Poznań). Recordings from B side were made during trips with family and friends during summer 2020.
During recordings some sounds you can hear on this album were so intriguing, we’ve enhaced and provoked them to last longer. Thus it is justified to call some of these sounds improvisations, which evolved into compositions.
Equipment used: Tascam DR-100MKIII, JRF C-series Contact Mics, Shure SM58, Shure SM89, Rode NT1A.
