On October 6, at 7 p.m The Brama Gallery in Gliwice will host the opening of the exhibition that we prepared together with my sister, painter and visual artist Natalia Wirmańska. The exhibition will include paintings, soundscapes, field recordings, drawings and photography. Natalia is responsible for the visual side of the exhibition, and Maciej is responsible for the audio aspect. Together we are responsible for the conceptual side of the exhibition.
’Dziatki/Dziadki’ is about our childhood memories from the family home of Antonina and Władysław Wirmański – our mother’s parents. As part of this project, we will talk about our relationships with the titular grandparents, bring out their talents and bits of biography to the audience.
I will play a short concert as part of the opening.
