The exhibition curator, Kinga Nędza-Sikoniowska, commissioned me to create an imagined soundscape of the summer of 1926 in Harenda, Zakopane, southern Polend. It was there that the distinguished Polish poet Jan Kasprowicz lived, worked, and died on August 1, 1926. For the exhibition, I created a four-channel sound installation depicting a Podhale village and a meadow in Harenda, teeming with insects and birds and the murmur of a stream.
The exhibition opening will take place on April 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Villa Opolanka in Zakopane (15 Tetmajera Street). The exhibition will run until October 10. Admission is free.
